Courchevel is split over 4 levels, 1350, 1550, 1650 and 1850. Each offers a slightly different style and atmosphere but all provide great places to stay. The more traditional village feel of 1350 gives way to the purpose built and very practical 1550 as altitude increases. The very popular 1650 is the perfect place to be based and offers accommodation for every budget. The resort centre has plenty of good shops, great restaurants and a very lively and fun apres ski. At the top you find 1850 with its mixture of accommodation to suit most budgets, particularly the very generous ones. With its chic shops and excellent restaurants it has a reputation for exclusivity but is well worth a visit.
Courchevel is one of the Three Valleys and along with the Meribel and Val Thorens valleys make up this gigantic ski system of 600 km. Offering not only a great place to learn, Courchevel and the extended area will keep you skiing for weeks on end. If you like to travel far and use a modern efficient lift system then it is a good choice. For the advanced skier and snowboarder there is some great terrain too, particularly at the far reaches of the Three Valleys. It is very rare to find someone who hasn’t loved their time skiing the Three Valleys.

Our Courchevel transfer service operates from Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble and Chambery airports. If you are travelling on a Saturday, particularly at high season, then be prepared for the bus to Courchevel to take a little longer. The main road into the region supports access to many ski resorts so whilst Courchevel maybe the final destination the combined volume of traffic from all the resorts can be very significant. The transfer from Geneva to Courchevel passes through Moutiers, where the local authorities use traffic lights to ‘pulse’ the traffic as it leaves the motorway to enter the Tarentaise valley. All Courchevel taxi services use this motorway, so expect some delays here at the weekends. For all Courchevel transfers departing resort, we would recommend leaving resort as early as possible. Passing through Moutiers before the majority of holidaymakers is advisable, even if you end up with a little extra time at the airport.
