La Plagne has been a popular destination for a very long time. Made up of several villages there are a myriad of options for your holiday. From basic apartments to wonderful chalets and good hotels it is very easy to find something for everyone. Each village offers something a little different but all give access to the fantastic skiing. With plenty of good eateries and and varied non skiing activities it is a great spot for families, groups and couples alike. After a day on the mountain why not have a go at the 1992 Olympic bobsleigh track? A must do for any thrill seeker staying in La Plagne.
La Plagne is awesome. Whilst fantastic for mile hungry intermediates there are great beginner slopes and some steep terrain and amazing off piste for the advanced. In 2003 the Vanoise Express cable car was opened. This incredible lift was the biggest, longest and fastest in the world when it opened. With two double decker cars it takes a lightning 4 minutes to travel 2km between Plan Peisy and Les Coches. This means that La Plagne and Les Arcs are linked creating the brilliant Paradiski Lift Pass that is a dream for intermediates. This pass covers 425 km of pistes of which 75% are over 2000m giving access to reliable snow and a colossal variety of skiing.

Our La Plagne transfer service operates from Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble and Chambery airports. If you are travelling on a Saturday, particularly at high season, then be prepared for the bus to La Plagne to take a little longer. The main road into the region supports access to many ski resorts so whilst La Plagne maybe the final destination the combined volume of traffic from all the resorts can be very significant. Transfers from Geneva to La Plagne pass through Moutiers, where the local authorities use traffic lights to ‘pulse’ the traffic as it leaves the motorway to enter the Tarentaise valley. All airport transfers to La Plagne use this motorway, so expect some delays here at the weekends. For all La Plagne transfers departing resort, we would recommend leaving resort as early as possible. Passing through Moutiers before the majority of holidaymakers is advisable, even if you end up with a little extra time at the airport.
