Off the snow there are plenty of facilities for children, sports centres, pool, shopping, restaurants and a very lively apres ski scene that will keep you awake until the early hours. Along with Val D’Isere, Tignes makes up the classic Espace Killy ski area. With plenty of runs for all abilities it is arguable that intermediate and advanced skiers will get the most out of this area. Our advice is to buy a full area pass and profit from the endless sweeping blues and reds that will keep you travelling all day long or if you are feeling adventurous hire a guide and access this area’s truly epic off piste terrain.

Number of lifts in Espace Killy: 85

Our Tignes transfer service operates from Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble and Chambery airports. If you are travelling on a Saturday, particularly at high season, then be prepared for the bus to Tignes to take a little longer. The transfer from Geneva to Tignes is one of the longest, and uses the main road into the region. This road supports access to many other ski resorts so whilst Tignes maybe the final destination the combined volume of traffic from all the resorts can be very significant. Transfers from Geneva to Tignes pass through Moutiers, where the local authorities use traffic lights to ‘pulse’ the traffic as it leaves the motorway to enter the Tarentaise valley. All airport transfers from Geneva to Tignes use this motorway, so expect some delays here at the weekends. For all Tignes transfers departing resort, we would recommend leaving resort as early as possible. Passing through Moutiers before the majority of holidaymakers is advisable, even if you end up with a little extra time at the airport.
